Not a great start to the year for my Deacs, but with our sixth-straight win over N.C. State we’re back to .500. I’ll take it. I mean, I’m an alumn and far from fair-weather, so I’ll cheer for the Deacs regardles.
That, and the fact that we’re finally wearing flat black helmets, inspired a drawing. “All the way. (All the way.) GO DEACS!”
It has been so long since I last logged into this blog and posted an update that I forgot my password. SMH. What can I say? I’m a lazy, uninspired artist.
My current excuse is, it’s football season! With two college squads, one NFL team and a fantasy roster, I am a bit preoccupied. It is my favorite time of year, and thus I couldn’t pass up a chance to trash talk through Illustration Friday.
This week’s theme is “Onomatopoeia.” One of my favorite words, laying down the boom (pun intended) for one of my favorite teams and alma mater. GO GATORS!
We are Florida. One word. Like Cher, Madonna, and Beyonce. FLORIDA!
President Obama (#44) was sworn back into office officially yesterday, per the Constitutional amendment. Today was for the public… for the voters. Proud that he’s my President.
I might as well keep quoting Jay-Z, with the title of this post. :-) Here’s a perfectly sized Facebook cover photo. Feel free to use. Just please don’t remove my logo. THANKS!
Want to add a seasonal touch to your Facebook page? Here are six cover images, already sized for use.
Feel free to save and use. All that I ask is please leave my signature on the image, and leave a comment to let me know which one you’re using. Thanks!
Here’s a sketch of one of my favorite IKEA soft toys, the KLAPPAR CIRKUS dog. Or as I like to call him, “Clown Dog.”
IKEA Orlando shared the comforting little toys with patients at Nemours Children’s Hospital. As an IKEA co-worker (full disclosure), I had the opportunity to take part in this heartwarming act. What a great start to my work day!
The giveaway also launched IKEA’s annual Soft Toy Campaign, a global initiative. For every soft toy or children’s book purchased through December 29th, the IKEA Foundation will donate $1 to educate kids – through UNICEF and Save the Children.
If you’re visiting IKEA Orlando, or any of our sister stores in the world, please pick one up for your child. Don’t have a child? No problem! You could think of a young family member, your friend’s kid, or donate one to the cause of your choice. Help a soft toy find a home, and IKEA Foundation will make a donation to say thanks.
