Winter

December 24, 2010

I can’t believe I haven’t had time to post since August.  I’ve been exhausted, too tired to be creative after work.  Hopefully a nice little 11-day vacation is what I need to get back in the groove.

Illustration Friday will be my re-starting point. This week’s word is, “winter.”

A few years ago I spent the holidays visiting my grandmother in Trinidad.  It was our last family trip to see her before she passed. Having grown up in snow, being with family in the sun and on the beach was a much welcomed change.

In lieu of snow, my brother constructed Grainy the Sandman on the beach at Maraccas Bay (Trinidad).

Currently I live in Florida, and it is 66 degrees outside.  I love the warm weather, though it makes it a little hard to get in the Christmas spirit.  My idea of winter will surely be different than the other designers.

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
